Nick Knowles ‘lands new travel show’

VacationHunter — Nick Knowles has reportedly landed a new travel series for Channel 5.
The 60-year-old ‘DIY SOS’ host previously headed to the US to film two specials for the channel focusing on the Grand Canyon and Death Valley and now he’s said to have started work on another epic adventure show which will take him to exotic destinations across the world.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “This new series has big things planned, with Nick travelling to an expansive list of destinations.”
The news comes just weeks after Nick confirmed he’s set to wed for the third time after proposing to his girlfriend Katie Dadzie, 33, in New Orleans last month.
However, his latest TV project will keep them apart while he’s on the road. The insider added to The Sun: “Sadly, it doesn’t appear Katie will be joining him, which means they could be apart for some time.”
Nick confirmed the engagement news by revealing he popped the question with a Haribo ring. In a post on Instagram, he joked: “There was a Haribo ring incident in New Orleans. Very happy.”
Nick split from his wife Jessica Rose Moor in 2016 and he was also previously married to Gillian Knowles from 1996 to 2000. Nick has four children from three different relationships, he shares his daughter Tuesday and son Charlie with his ex-wife Gillian, and has son, TJ, with dancer Paula Beckett. He also has son Eddie with his ex-wife Jessica, and Nick and Katie actually met through Eddie. Katie has children Savannah, eight, and Alex, five, and she met Nick after their kids became pals.
Speaking about their first meeting, Katie told The Sun: “I actually didn’t like him very much. “We just knew each other as our kids were friends. “I’m very shy and quiet, while Nick is quite extroverted and a complete chatterbox. He didn’t give me a lot of opportunity to talk. I didn’t know a lot about him. “But when we were both single we went for coffee and he let me talk, eventually, and we had a lot in common. We both love cooking and have an interest in history. “During lockdown we spent a lot of time chatting over the phone, which meant we could really get to know each other. “The more we went out the more I realised what a nice guy he is as he’s constantly bombarded by fans and always has time for a picture.”
