Amadeus strengthens ties with Dubai based dnata
VacationHunter – Amadeus has announced that it is to work even closer with ground handler and air service provider, dnata, in support of its drive for âgreater standardisationâ of the systems used across its global operations.
As a result, Amadeus will continue to power dnataâs innovative centralised load control service for airlines at Dubai International Airport (SXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC).
Dubai based dnata was one of the first ground handlers to benefit from Amadeusâ cloud technology for flight management when it decided to centralise load controllers into a single hub at DXB.
According to Amadeus, the hub has so far helped airlines to manage more than one million flights more efficiently thanks to this approach.
The expanded agreement will also see the partners explore the transition to new technology leveraging the Amadeus cloud platform for airport operations, which will help dnata enhance its processes and reduce costs across the world.
As part of the new partnership, ground handlers will continue to rely on Amadeusâ AltĂ©a Departure Control System for Ground Handlers to provide services to passengers; as well as weight and balance services to a variety of airlines at various airports where dnata operates.
Jaffar Dawood, dnataâs senior vice president for airline services, said: âWe are committed to investing in leading technologies to ensure the highest level of safety and efficiency across our operations.â
While Amadeusâ president for airport IT, EMEA, Yannick Beunardeau, noted: âWe have enjoyed a long standing, successful partnership. Our renewed agreement will enable dnata to unlock savings across its global operations network with Amadeusâ efficient and simplified technology.
âWe are committed to helping dnata apply cloud-based solutions in more areas of its business as part of its drive to serve its airline and airport partners more flexibly. â
