Alan Carr: Online dating? No thanks!

VacationHunter — Alan Carr will never join Grindr.
The 46-year-old comedian split from his husband Paul Drayton earlier this year, and although he’s ready to find love once again, Alan insists he won’t be turning to the dating app for any assistance.
Appearing on Australian radio, he joked: “How can I go on Grindr? You have to put your bits and bobs on it.”
Despite this, Alan insisted he’s open-minded about the type of man he’s looking for.
He shared: “I’m up for anything, really. People say to me, ‘Has anyone has slid into my DMs?’ I’m like, ‘Slid? It’s more like crawled and died!'”
Alan and Paul’s marriage fell apart during the COVID-19 lockdowns as Paul descended into alcoholism.
But the stand-up comic has no regrets about their relationship, admitting they both tried their best to make it work and that they are “still friends”.
The comedian – who married Paul in 2018 – said: “I’ve moved on, I’m still friends with Paul, he’s sort of getting on with his life. Sometimes it’s not a bad thing. It was 14 years, we gave it a go, it didn’t work out in lockdown. Who cares? Let’s move on.
“Our marriage broke down. In lockdown, a lot of people started doing a little self-analysis and having a look at their lives, going, ‘Is this the kind of life I want?’ So, we split up.”
Meanwhile, Alan also joked that 2022 has been even worse for him than 2021, when most of the world was battling the COVID-19 pandemic and still dealing with lockdowns.
He quipped: “Gosh, 2022 was rubbish, who looks back on 2021 as the good old days? My dog also died.”
