Martin Garrix's Justin Bieber support nerves

ICONINSIDER — Martin Garrix was “nervous like s***” supporting Justin Bieber on tour in Australia.
The ‘In the Name of Love’ hitmaker will support the 22-year-old pop megastar again at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park on July 2, and has confessed that he was freaked out before he hit the stage for the first time ahead of the ‘Sorry’ singer’s set and was worried that Bieber fans wouldn’t like his music.
He told Billboard magazine: “If I do a Martin Garrix headline show I know it will be lots of Garrix fans etc. but this time I was nervous like s**t, it will only be lots of Bieber fans they’re only waiting for Justin Bieber. I did the first song in Perth (Australia) and the moment I dropped my first song the energy the crowd gave us, it was super crazy. The entire tour was fun.”
The 20-year-old DJ also revealed that he had planned to release a collaboration with ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker Ed Sheeran, but it was “one big headache” in the end and never happend.
He explained: “I made the song with Ed two years ago and there was so much back and forth of when we are going to release it … that song is one big headache so I’d rather focus on new music and positive energy.”
Martin previously revealed he and the Bieber look to each other for advice.
The pair have a unique friendship because they are going through similar things.
He said: “We’re both young, both touring on the road a lot and both love music. We can really talk about that.
“He said, ‘You should come with me to Australia, it’s going to be crazy’, and I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it’. Besides this tour we are also very good friends, we Face Time every now and then. Good times.”
