Kym Marsh ‘made decision’ not to have anymore children

ICONINSIDER — Kym Marsh has “made the decision” not to have any more children.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star has decided not to add anymore to her brood after her third child Archie died nine years ago – one day after he was born at 21 weeks – and she almost lost her daughter Polly, six, numerous times throughout her pregnancy.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Tuesday (30.01.18), she said: “I have taken the decision to not have any more children. I can’t have any more children now.
“I made the decision after I had Polly. I don’t know if anybody knows this but I almost lost Polly as well, several times throughout that pregnancy. It was very traumatic. I was on bed rest for months and she was born very early at about seven weeks premature. I made the decision to not have anymore as I don’t want to run that risk – it’s too painful.”
The 41-year-old star – who also has son David, 22, and daughter Emily, 21, with her ex-partner Dave Cunliffe – thinks about Archie, whom she has with her ex-husband Jamie Lomas, every single day and is putting together Archie’s Footprint Ball, held at the Hilton in Manchester on February 10, in memory of his life.
She said: “I always wanted to do something with his memory to help people. Baby loss is a taboo subject, and we wanted to get people talking. I’ve been there, I know how people feel. It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to me and I want to help people.”
The evening will see a number of star-studded guests take to the stage to raise money for bereaved parents and families who have lost their children.
Kym explained: “There will be happy tears too as we’re doing something very special by raising awareness and money in his memory and I feel very proud of us as a family.”
