Spider-Man to get his own TV channel

ICONINSIDER — Spider-Man is set to get his own TV channel.
The Marvel superhero will be taking over Sky and Virgin Disney XD +1 channels for a whole month, 24 hours a day, beginning on Monday (03.07.17), where they will be showing non-stop Spider-Man episodes as well as the world premiere of six Spider-Man Origin shorts along with a Spider-Man Homecoming 15-minute movie special.
David Levine, General Manager of Disney Channels UK and Ireland, said: “This is the first time that we have created a takeover dedicated to Spider-Man, arguably one of the most popular characters from the Marvel universe and one of Stan Lee’s most venerated creations.
“The wall-crawler continues to draw kids to Disney XD so what better way to pay tribute to his genius than by giving him his own channel throughout the month of July when the whole world will be going Spidey crazy.”
Spider-Man is the number one action show for ratings on Disney XD and the takeover will be sponsored by automated toy range HEXBUG.
The product line for Marvel Spider-Man Homecoming includes a range of gadgets and toys including the Sphero Spider-Man app-enabled interactive super hero, Spider-Man Homecoming Pop! vinyl figures and Spider-Man Homecoming Walkie Talkies, which will be available from Disney Store and all good retailers.
Spider-Man’s Disney XD +1 takeover begins on Monday (03.07.17) and runs until July 30 on Sky 608 and Virgin 708.
