Rebekah Vardy to join I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

ICONINSIDER — Rebekah Vardy is set to head into the Australian jungle for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
The brunette beauty – who is the wife of English professional football player Jamie Vardy – is reportedly in talks to appear on this year’s series of the ITV jungle-based reality show, as bosses believe her “fiery” personality will make her a great fit on the programme.
Rebekah was reportedly being eyed to appear on the show last year, but after she fell pregnant with her second child – a son named Finley who was born in January – negotiations came to a halt.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Bosses were really keen on Becky last year and had some very productive discussions. They are planning to have another chat with her this year.
“She’s glamorous but she’s fiery too. She could bring lots to the table and she seemed keen before.
“Having had a healthy baby back in January, she’d be available when the show returns later this year.”
If Rebekah – who also has two-year-old daughter Sofia with her spouse as well as daughter Megan, 11, and son Taylor, six, from two previous relationships – does join the ‘I’m A Celeb…’ camp, she could be one of the last contestants to visit the show’s current location in Springbrook National Park, as bosses are reportedly toying with the idea of moving locations.
The show has been filmed in the New South Wales park since 2003, but after they were approached by the government, ITV bosses are reportedly thinking about upping sticks and moving to Kangaroo Island – a 35-minute journey from Adelaide in the South of Australia.
In a letter to ITV boss Kevin Lygo, agent general Bill Muirhead said: “With a third of the island covered by national parks, Kangeroo Island is teeming with creatures not found anywhere else, most of which we’re more than happy for people to eat on TV.”
Mr. Muirhead has stressed the change will give the area a major tourism boost and will allow viewers back home in the UK to see something different for the first time in 15 years.
He added: “Looking forward to 2020, could it be time for a change? I ask you to consider Kangaroo Island, a place pulsating with all the wonder and weirdness Australia has to offer, an island with a name that seems straight out of a story of buccaneers and bushrangers.
“Just think what you could do with the assorted members of ‘TOWIE’, ‘Made in Chelsea’, the ginger one from Girls Aloud and anyone else you Poms want to see the back of.”
