Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen star in Love Island spin-off

ICONINSIDER — Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen are set to get their own reality TV show.
The ‘Love Island’ couple – who met and fell in love on the programme last summer – are reportedly being lined up for their own three-part series which will document their wedding preparations after the hunk popped the question to his lover this year.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “It’s being shopped to ITVBe as a spin-off to ‘Love Island’. Executives are definitely keen to extend the interest of ‘Love Island’ and keep the audience interested.
“Chances are they’ll air just as series 3 finishes to keep the show’s momentum going. It’s a really exciting project for them and they hope ITVBe share the same vision. They were one of the show’s most loved couple and they’re still together.”
Unlike the winners of the show Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey – who split last month but are expecting a baby together – Alex and Olivia have stayed together.
The source explained: “Viewers definitely felt Olivia and Alex were robbed of the prize money by the winning couple Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey.
“Olivia and Alex were the real winners and have received the highest followings on social media. Now bosses are hoping to turn that coverage into cash.”
The pair are certainly no strangers to reality TV as Olivia also appeared on ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ after Alex proposed to her while they were on a trip to New York City.
Designer David Emanuel, the show’s host said: “She was sweet, she was charming, she was a little bit over-awed, she, like any bride, tried to anticipate how the appointment would go. She was a delight actually, not at all what I thought she might be I always keep an open mind, I never prejudge.”
