ICONINSIDER — Reese Witherspoon is the new face of Elizabeth Arden.
The ‘Wild’ star is “honoured” to have been named the new Storyteller-in-Chief of the luxury cosmetics and skincare company.
She said in a statement: “One of the first things that drew me to the brand was its rich heritage and history of supporting women. As one of the first female entrepreneurs, Elizabeth Arden paved the way for women like me. It’s an honour to carry on her legacy and be part of such an iconic company that is committed to serving women.
“I’m excited to work as a creative partner alongside the Elizabeth Arden team, producing content that celebrates the spirit of the brand, highlighting female-centric stories that illustrate women’s true life experiences which unite us all.”
And the president of Elizabeth Arden, Jue Wong, added: “Reese exemplifies the ideals of our founder and continues to break boundaries every day. Like Elizabeth Arden before her, Reese does not accept the standard; she sets it, making her the perfect person to represent the brand and engage with our consumers globally.”
Meanwhile, Elizabeth shared the news on the company’s Twitter account, revealing she was “beyond excited” to announce the collaboration.
She shared: “I am beyond excited to announce that @RWitherspoon is the latest member of the Elizabeth Arden family as Storyteller-in-Chief! #ArdenXReese (sic)”
Whilst Reese wrote on her own social media account: “So excited for my newest role yet…as Storyteller-in-Chief for @ElizabethArden! #ArdenxReese #ArdenStorytellerInChief (sic)”
Elizabeth also shared a slideshow of pictures of Reese on her Instagram account, captioning it: “The wait is over … I am beyond excited to announce that @ReeseWitherspoon is the latest member of the #ElizabethArden family! As Storyteller-in-Chief, she will be at the forefront of our latest innovations, and we are so happy to work with her. ?#ArdenXReese #ArdenStorytellerInChief (sic)”
